Thank you so much your interest in and support for our journal. A few things to point out as you explore issue 20.
Once again, our issue leads off with a selection of four Burmese writers: Ko Ywae, Thway (Sagaing), Myat, and Min Htet Maung, all translated by our contributing editor, Kenneth Wong. We thank Moe Way and Eras Publishing, poet Pandora (organizer of the anthology Tuning), Zeyar Lynn, Way Khaung and Kabyar Lawka Journal for their support in allowing us to publish Burmese writing.
We’re also thrilled to feature work from two Bengali writers: Ramanath Roy and Nabarun Bhattacharya, both translated by Arunava Sinha and brought to our attention by our latest contributing editor (and CCA alum!), Rheea Mukherjee.
Our cover is by Victor Solomon, maker of bespoke stained glass basketball backboards, rims and nets. If you look at our banner, you’ll see our brand-spanking new logo, designed by our art director and designer, Tracy Tsutsumoto.
Eleven Eleven would like to thank Juvenal Acosta, Evan Adams, Mary Behm-Steinberg, Gloria Frym, Kathy Goodkin and Gazing Grain Press, Eghosa Imasuen, Uche Okonkwo and Kachifo Limited, Kevin Mathieu, Hazel Millar, Jay Millar and BookThug, David Morini, Jessica Shaefer, Kira Lyons and Gallery Wendi Norris, for their assistance, advice and support in producing this issue.
Lastly, we wish to congratulate Will Waller, our newest recipient of the Kevin Whiteley Award, given to students who have served all four of their semesters at CCA on the staff of Eleven Eleven.
