Thank you so much your interest in and support for our journal. A few things to point out as you explore #18, our lucky 7th online issue.
Leading off, you’ll notice a section devoted to Burmese writing. Starting with this issue, Eleven Eleven will feature several Burmese writers (both in Burmese and in English translation) in each of our forthcoming online issues. As far as we know, we’re the first and only journal in the US to feature Burmese writing on a regular basis.
Next, we hope you’ll notice how the table of contents are arranged into sections. If you wish to have a more thematic experience, read the new issue one section at a time. If you’re looking for a particular writer or artists, simply scroll down to the index.
Finally, we’ve redesigned our table of contents and pages to be more friendly to our readers who access us via cellphones and tablets; more vertical, a little less horizontal.
We’ll be having two readings in the Bay area to celebrate the new issue; the first will be February 18 at CCA, the second will be some time in March – check back here for more details!
